If you have the desire to become a certified teacher, the early childhood education program at Kendall College is the right choice for you! This program is geared toward students who seek certification to work with children from pre-kindergarten through grade three. We prepare students for an exciting, rewarding career working with young children.

Certification to Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education

Graduates successfully meet the demands of an ever-changing society. To prepare our students for success in tomorrow's classrooms, Kendall offers a program that provides innovative and integrated learning experiences that facilitate competence, not just knowledge, when working with young children. Our classes are exploratory and student-centered.

Graduates of Kendall College's Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education will have:

• Clinical experience, with opportunities to engage children in various learning activities in both suburban and urban environments.
  
  
• Experience in using technology that will support education in future classrooms along with the knowledge of how to use the latest technology effectively to improve teaching and learning.
  
  
• The ability to work with heterogeneous populations using an array of developmentally appropriate strategies and techniques.
  
  
• The ability to be collaborative educators, leaders and advocates who view parents, colleagues and their community as partners and invaluable resources.
  
  
• The option of seeking the Illinois State Board of Education Special Education Approval.
