BA in Early Childhood Education with Illinois Type 04 Certification PreparationBack to topKendall's Early Childhood Education bachelor's degree program leading to certification includes field experiences and student teaching components at both the pre-primary and primary levels. The program prepares you to apply for the Illinois Type 04 Certification. This certifcation qualifies you to work with children from birth through age eight and to work in environments where certification is required. Choose to earn your degree online, on campus or combine your online courses with campus instruction. Choose one of two concentrations - Infants and Toddlers or Special Education. By concentrating in Special Education, and completing the required coursework, you will be able to apply for an Early Childhood Special Education approval on your certification. Kendall's B.A. in Early Childhood Education, non-certification track, is available for those who are interested in the field of early childhood education but plan to work in an environment where state certification is not required. Kendall's innovative learning model promotes professional growth from the very first course.
