The educational administration programs are offered at the following locations:
EdS in Educational Leadership & AdministrationThis master's program, which includes courses and field experiences as recommended by NCATE standards, has been designed to meet the course work requirements that are part of the licensure process. Although state licensing requirements vary from state to state, the SLLA test is part of the licensure process in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and the District of Columbia. Upon completion of this program, students will be qualified to take the School Leaders Licensure Assessment (SLLA) test for administrative or supervisory licensure. The Education Specialist (EdS) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration is a post-master's degree that provides educational personnel at the elementary and secondary levels added expertise in the field of administration. This program can also provide educators with an opportunity to meet multi-state course work requirements for principal, assistant principal and/or instructional supervisory personnel.
Candidates completing the EdS program will be qualified to the SLLA test for licensure. Candidates must have three years of teaching and/or administrative experience upon completion of the program. This part-time post-master's degree program provides educators with an opportunity to meet state licensing requirements for principal, assistant principal and instructional supervisory positions.
