Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education

Keiser University's Bachelor of Science in Education provides instruction in the area of elementary education with infused English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). The program is presented in two phases. The first phase provides a good foundation that enhances the graduate's ability to teach different subject areas in his or her classroom. In this phase, the student is introduced to the basics of teaching, use of technology in the classroom and teaching diverse classrooms with a strong understanding of multiculturalism.

In the second phase, courses will include teaching of different subject areas, learning to create curriculum, understanding educational assessment, managing the classroom, teaching reading and literacy, developing ESOL strategies for the classroom and participating in clinical and internship experiences in the field. All of the education courses are in alignment with Florida Department of Education's requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.
