Azusa Pacific University is an evangelical Christian community of
disciples and scholars who seek to advance the work of God in the
world through academic excellence in liberal arts and
professional programs of higher education that encourage students
to develop a Christian perspective of truth and life.
Offered in conjunction with the Teacher Librarian Services
Credential, this program enables the candidate to earn both the
Master of Arts in Education: School Librarianship and the
credential by completing three courses beyond the requirements
for the credential alone. The master's degree enhances the
credential with educational coursework that dovetails library
services and resources with student, teacher, and classroom
needs. By understanding the curriculum foundations, history, and
psychological, philosophical, and ethical issues relevant to
today's student bodies, the librarian services teacher can better
facilitate the education process and advance the goals of the
California school system.
