As an academic community committed to liberal arts and professional education distinguished and guided by our Roman Catholic tradition and Benedictine heritage, we prepare our students for a lifetime as active, informed and responsible citizens and leaders in the world community.
Master of Education in Leadership and Administration
The Benedictine University Leadership and Administration degree was carefully designed to provide future administrators a unique program through which each student can examine and develop their knowledge, values and skills regarding effective school administration. Students are able to network with some of Chicago's most experienced and knowledgeable administrators. The emphasis on technology in this program provides a powerful tool for future administrators. Sixty percent of the 100-hour internship requirement is integrated into content specific courses with the remaining 40 percent generated by an internship project. Activities are closely monitored to ensure applicability. Many courses are taught by practicing administrators who share common philosophies and commitments to the development of future educational leaders.
