Certificate Programs

Certificate - Early Childhood Education (Online)

The Early Childhood Education Certificate program provides students with the professional training comparable to fulfilling the educational requirements of the Child Development Associate Credential. Students in this program will receive training in the basic principles of early childhood for entry level teaching positions in early care and education centers, nursery schools, Head Start programs, hospital settings and community facilities.

The Early Childhood Education Administration Certificate is a certification program in the administration of early childhood education programs. This program is focused on the developmental needs of young children as well as the business aspects of organizing and managing early childhood programs.

Our Early Childhood Education Administration Certificate program is for those individuals who are interested in the management of programs for young children. This program can also be viewed as first step towards an Associate in Science and, ultimately, a bachelor's degree. This certificate includes two education-related courses as well as business courses in computers, marketing and administration.

Associate of Science - Early Childhood Education (Online)

The Post University Early Childhood Education program provides a comprehensive curriculum that emphasizes the development and application of age-appropriate approaches to the education of young children.

Post University's Early Childhood program will prepare you for immediate employment as early childhood teachers in school districts as well as in public, private or corporate settings. If you later seek teacher certification the Associate in Science degree program will also permit transfer into a baccalaureate degree program. You will study child development, psychology and age appropriate approaches to literature, math/science and social studies. This program includes practicum's undertaken at an arranged site near you.

Bachelor of Science - Child Studies (Online)

Post University's B.S. in Child Studies Program builds upon the university's successful Associate degree program in Early Childhood Education (ECE). It offers an integrated curriculum of general education and career-specific coursework designed to respond to a national focus on ensuring that young children receive quality education and developmental opportunities.

Because career opportunities in the area of early childhood education are expected to grow more than 20 percent in the next several years, Post University's B.S. degree in Child Studies prepares students to meet a growing demand for greater professionalism in the early childhood workforce.

To provide greater convenience for students interested in early childhood education, this baccalaureate program in Child Studies is offered at Post University's Waterbury campus, at its regional locations and through Post University's Online Accelerated Degree Program (ADP).

The Post University MEd in Teaching & Learning is for teaching and/or curriculum professionals from varied education settings who seek a creative and innovative program to develop their curriculum and instructional skills. The concentration focuses on research-based teaching strategies that promote learning and enhance achievement in all education settings. It also provides differentiated learning experience so that students may pursue projects of interest to them. This is a non-licensure program.

Instructional Design & Technology

The Post University MEd in Instructional Design & Technology is for education, training, and development professionals who want to develop advanced skills in the planning and creation of learning experiences using technology. The program encourages students to be creative in their approach to designing and assessing effective technology-driven learning experiences. It also provides differentiated learning experience so that students may pursue projects of interest to them. This is a non-licensure program.
