credit-hour program (48 hours in School Counseling) comprised of

The Master of Arts degree is geared toward the individual who is
interested in the study of Education as an academic discipline
and who is considering the pursuit of advanced degree options

Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology

The speech-language pathology program consists of integrated
academic and clinical training in the assessment and treatment of
infants, children and adults who have communication and systems
disorders. The program can be completed in two years of full-time
enrollment.
An excellent student-to-faculty ratio, state-of-the-art clinical
facilities, a wide diversity of clinical placement opportunities
and excellent job placement record are hallmarks of the program.
Pursuing an advanced degree through this ASHA-accredited program
provides the skill-set and professional standards that lead to

Post-Baccalaureate Foundation Program in Speech-Language Pathology

Prospective students whose undergraduate major or degree is in a field other than speech-language pathology or communication disorders have the opportunity to pursue foundation courses through a one year pre-requisite program. The Post-Baccalaureate Foundation Program includes a lock-step series of eight courses (24 credit-hours) and 25 observation-hours that can be completed in an additional year prior to the Master of Science degree program. Students in this program enjoy all the benefits of Loyola’s top-rate graduate program, including highly-regarded faculty and state-of-the-art facilities.
Certificate of Advanced Study in Education (CASE)

The Certificate of Advanced Study in Education (CASE) is designed
for the professional educator who is seeking further study
without pursuing an additional degree. The CASE, sometimes
referred to as the Plus-30 Option, is awarded after the
successful completion of a ten-course sequence in the chosen area
of concentration. Those employed in public school systems that
successfully complete a CASE are often eligible for salary
enhancements in recognition of their advanced study.

Continuing Professional Education, a non-degree course enrollment
option, provides the currently certified teacher and/or school
administrator with the opportunity to take individual courses and
workshops at Loyola. Qualified individuals (bachelor's degree and
teacher certification required) are eligible to take one or more
courses per term without enrolling in a degree or certificate
program. Courses taken through Continuing Professional Education
carry graduate credit but generally do not apply toward an
advanced degree.

Maryland-approved programs leading to Teacher Certification are
available to both degree seeking and non-degree students. These
programs are designed for individuals with a new bachelor's
degree who want to teach as well as for those who are interested
in a change of career into teaching. Students admitted to a
teacher certification option receive individualized advising to
determine the exact number and sequence of courses that will be
required for completion of the approved program. Those seeking a
degree in addition to certification may continue with Master of
Education degree coursework after completing state certification
requirements. Concentration areas include:
