The School of Education

The new School of Education has undergone an extensive redesign to respond to – and anticipate – changes in educational systems in the 21st century. We are collaborating with practitioners in the field to offer an online master’s program that is relevant, authentic, and timely. Through the coordinated efforts of the talented faculty of the new School of Education and the cutting edge technology and support staff of Extended Campus, the courses in this master’s degree program are now available to students all over the world. Ed.M. in Education Degree - Online

The mission of the Ed.M in Education "Mentored Master’s" is to support teachers early in their careers. In providing this online support, the Mentored Master's aims to nurture a stance of continuous learning and development among teachers that values scholarship, reflection, inquiry, openness, and social responsibility.

The Mentored Master's facilitates the online professional growth of teachers as:

• Informed Practitioners
• Reflective Researchers and
• Professional Leaders and Advocates.

This is a 45-credit degree program offered entirely online for the convenience and accessibility of students worldwide. It is intended for current teachers in any P-12 educational setting and does not include a teaching licensure component. However, licensed teachers may add an authorization level, endorsement or Oregon Continuing Teaching License as part of the Focused Areas of Study (electives) part of the degree.
