The Certificate in Pathways to Accomplished Teaching is a 3-course certificate program intended for current and future National Board candidates or those wishing to improve their practice by applying the National Board Standards. The courses are specially designed as intensive professional development experiences. Candidates engage in classroom-based projects that demonstrate their commitment to students and their learning, knowledge of the subjects they teach and how to teach those subjects to students. They also demonstrate their ability to manage and monitor student learning, and their ability to systematically reflect on their classroom practice and involvement as members of learning communities.

The Master of Education (MEd) degree programs offered by Jones International University will land graduates squarely on education's frontier, with the business and education worlds waiting to welcome them.

The MEd degree program areas will prepare JIU graduates to:

• Assess e-learning outcomes through data collection, analysis, synthesis, evaluation and implementation.
• Evaluate existing corporate training programs, and identify and implement new ones.
• Assume a global perspective in the management of a learning organization's human, financial, ecological and other resources.

MEd in Adult Education

The Master of Education in Adult Education prepares adult educators to effectively meet these challenges.

MEd in Corporate Training and Knowledge Management

The MEd in e-Leanring: Corporate Training and Knowledge Management degree specialization prepares students to develop, implement, and evaluate professional corporate training programs and curricula. Incorporating both hands-on experience and an understanding of program management strategies, students master all aspects of the training process, including human resource development, internal and external marketing and maintaining professional standards.

MEd in Education Leadership and Administration

This MEd program is designed for individuals preparing for leadership and administrative positions in public and private education at the local, state and national levels. It also leads to preparation for a principal's license. The curriculum covers national and local issues affecting education and includes development of mastery in strategic planning, organizational management and accountability.

The MEd Principal & Administrator Licensure Degree (PALD) prepares students to become licensed principals and administrators. The degree was created to meet nationally recognized school leadership standards. Students in the PALD program develop their knowledge and expertise in strategic planning, organizational management and accountability as they prepare for leadership and administrative positions in public and private institutions.

MEd in Elementary Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment

The prime objective of our EdD program is to graduate successful and influential K-12 leaders who are critical thinkers, with exceptional knowledge, skills and integrity, who are able to apply theory to the creative and innovative solution of practical education problems.

Our curriculum balances the study of theory with the practice of leadership in schools. Our students do not complete their program merely by reading and writing in their home offices. Instead, each student completes professional synthesizing projects, professional leadership development reports, and a dissertation that require him/her to apply classroom learning in practical ways--all under the guidance of supervising professors who are both scholars and successful practitioners. Our graduates emerge confident and fully prepared to make a difference in their learning communities.
